Can you dance? Like, pop n lock or something. I've been learning the melbourne shuffle for quite some time.

Whenever I try to PM you it says "The recipient does not exist". But you do exist so now I'm confused! Help me!

Why do you hold such a horrible vendetta against 4chan? Or memes in general? Most of the stuff you are now banning for are hilarious, or at least much more entertaining than people's attempts at intelligent discussion.

I love you...

Rebeecaa....

you glass bitch

dont touch me you drink.... dont touch me you bevrage....no....no....no.....naughty naughty kool aid.

Does "Because you touch yourself at night" Constitute a ban?

You = 1337 mod.

Why is homophobic and hateful language a bannable offense yet moderators that should be setting an example (e.g - EyeLovePoozy) are using it all the time?

The system ain't perfect. =\

Regarding story threads.

Would you ever consider re-allowing story threads given that they're:
- not spammy
- they invite discssion
- they're interesting?

If you did, assuming you enacted a "Quality control", what would be the criteria for a locked story thread?

Say there was a good story thread, but there were a lot of spammy comments (ie "OMG DAT WUZ GRET OLOLOLOL") would you lock the thread or delete the comments?

How big would the ban be for spamming a story thread?

I'm pretty sure story threads are long dead, with no consideration for revival. It'd be too much of an undertaking to try and police them all.

Quoting this answer:
"Backseat modding is more of people being pushy and declaring what should be locked/banned/deleted. People posting helpful links and such are encouraged. However, people posting unhelpful/wrong links might be tagged with a ban, depending on their attitude."

I think that a certain ban that I received several weeks ago was perhaps an unfair ban, it wasn't from you, but Mal. You see, I posted in a topic in Wi/Ht asking for flash help, saying that they would end up with better answers if the thread was posted over in the flash forum. I got a three day ban for backseat moderating. I know of a few other people who have received bans similar to this, and I'm just asking if you would think that ban was or was not deserved. So, do you think so?

I typically only ban people for backseat modding if they are being a dick about it, OR if they get it wrong.

Also, sorry for double comment, but I've got another question regarding backseat moderating. I have seen a lot of BBS moderators with links to PM'ing them in their signatures, asking people to 'Report Forum Abuse', or similar messages. Wouldn't reporting abuse on the BBS count as backseat moderating?

Again, I apologise for double commenting. Thank you,

MwMike

No. Backseat modding is a public affair.

Woo! 1st 2009 comment!

And yes; I have a question.

You know how most mods are now locking topics along the lines of: "Wah, I fail at girls!", with links to the relationship crew in their lock messages?
Why doesn't the same thing happen with topics about weed, since there's a 'Stoner's club' as well (link: http://www.newgrounds.com/bbs/topic/1 46637)?

Weed topics (as far as I've seen) tend not to do very well in the general forum. They often turn into flame wars (some of them are almost as bad as religious debate topics), and there's usually some degree of needless self-justification in the OPs (which said OP could find very easily if they were pointed to said forum).
I dunno about you, but I can't see the point in 'discussions' (read: arguments) about weed use in any sense, since neither side seems to want to listen to the other on the matter. Same goes for the 'evidence' both sides find to try to prove their points (it just gets ignored).

However, you've been here for a lot longer than me, so If you can see reason in not locking weed topics like the relationship ones, I'd appreciate learning why.

No, it seems like a good idea.

The main difference is the frequency. Weed topics appear much less frequently than do "wah girls" threads, so they're much less annoying. With the "Pot" topic being recently locked the Stoner's Club is a good place to redirect topic with no specific topic about weed in mind (e.g. "do u like weed i do lol").

sir aaaaa i ve done a crew n a moderator loking it and ive done tre more like just to have a crew and i can not post anything now he dint stop piss me off so i offense him and i think i can gets a second chance like good newgrounds user
