Hey Zarok, I have a question. Please answer it as as soon as possible!! Ok, do you ban people just for the lulz? Also, why did you delete 50 of my posts once T__T
If you mean: "Do I ban people for fun": No.
2: I don't know. How do you even figure it was me who did it?
What do you think causes one's own stupidity. Rhytmatic life or Luxury?
Uh. The answer to any question (that's outside the realm of mathematics) tends not to be black and white, I find. Stupidity needs to be defined in this case... is stupidity lapses of applied common sense? General low IQ? Etc., etc.
dude, cheers on the modding - youve locked some pretty spammy topics recently - cheers!
Thank ya.
You banned me for a topic which was something like "I have 50 spam posts :D". And the ban reason was: "Your posts are taken care of - Zerok". So that means you were a big meany and you ruined my life. THANKS A FUCKING LOT, I HOPE YOU BECOME AN ADMINIS-TRAITOR! Just kidding. No offense.
:x
Response was too short.
Where exactly in Halifax are you? My girlfriends going up there for a weekend, and I might see if she can get your autograph. :P
Well it wouldn't be wise to publish my exact address now would it?
If she/you so desperately needs it, and it's not too late by now, we could arrange a meeting.
I think the automatic ban for posting in spam topics should be removed.
Any particular thoughts on this rule?
I think it's fine; there's no real reason to have it removed... the tool isn't the issue, it's how it's used.
Your too harsh for a mod.
My opinion matters.
>:(
My too harsh for a mod? What about it?
Can I be a mod? LOL jk
Oh, you were joking... I'd've put you up for vote. Oh well.
Are ninja stars fun? ^_^
Yes.
Can BBS mods ban a review mod and vice versa.
I don't think so, but I don't recall trying.
Say I was givin a ban for posting in a spam topic that seemed innocent. But yet it says i fueled the flames..There were no flames really..so why was i banned
Because it's an automatic function. Mods are supposed to review posts in a spam thread and delete ones that aren't "bad" before using the tool, but it's a subjective judgment call.
I'm seeing less of you around the BBS... Does this mean you are losing interest in Newgrounds? ={
April 15th... I was in the middle of doom-schoolwork. Basically from the start of April to about the 22nd I was bogged down, pulling regular all-nighters to get stuff done and to get it done well.
My NG-interest is still burning strong.
You'd put me up for a vote? Go on then!
No offense dude, but I think getting banned for 4chan quotes is a little stupid, it's not like Newgrounds doesn't have enough funds to support quick generic posts like that. I'm not really active on any other forums so I can't say for sure, but it seems like Newgrounds has a tad too many pointless rules.
What most of them really are are the results of the current mod team's collective opinion on what an "interesting" post is. There's that one rule in the main rules that states that you shouldn't post unless something is funny, informative, etc. etc.
It's really hard to define such a thing with so many people accessing the site. So as a mod team we all sort of have to generally agree that meme X is now "old" and no one's really finding it funny anymore, and people are just posting it now to try and fit in, or something like that.
Of course, that system is very far from perfect; obviously not all mods will share the same opinion at all times, and the staff certainly hasn't come out with rigid guidelines as to what people can and can't say (which, in some sense isn't a bad idea) so policymaking crops up in the form of individual and group decisions.
Over time you get a lot of these little rules, and when you sum them all up in a list it does indeed look a bit restrictive. It's just the way our particular little social system has played out, and it wont change quickly (barring any revolution).
Actually, don't put me up for a vote. I haven't been on NG for a year, and I'm a crap poster comapred to most people.
Is there any meaning behind your username? Was there a particular reason you chose that name? Or was it a random word that you decided to use?
Random bashing of the keyboard is the story I always tell. It's been so long that I no longer know if it's true or not. For all intents and purposes, it might as well be.
I posted a topic about AP Exams and it got deleted. Why?
I didn't delete it so I can't tell you.
I heard your lyrics...
Say wut?
Will you link me to the "shoulda grabbed his cock" thread? I found it once but haven't been able to ever since then.
sweet-tooth-pico-fan
what if someone did actually have trojanhorse (system32 virus) and you told them to delete it. Would you get banned?
Zerok
Telling people to delete system32 = ban. No exceptions.
